Living Waters Sanctuary Rejuvenation Project

Living Waters Sanctuary Rejuvenation Project

Location: Fort Langley, BC

Site: Living Waters Church

Description: Complete rejuvenation of the church sanctuary from an outdated beige space to a warm, inviting, modern heritage space more in tune with the nature of Fort Langley.

Living Waters Church is located in the heart of Fort Langley, the birthplace of British Columbia. The building’s exterior reflected the historic nature of the town, but the interior needed some work. We imagined a main auditorium that would reflect the town’s roots, serve the church’s needs, and stand the test of time. What emerged was an elegant, timeless, fresh design.

From conception to construction the auditorium was completely transformed. Lighting, flooring, stage design and wall treatments (both wainscotting and brickwork) ascetically revolutionized the room, all without altering it structurally. The church now feels like it should: a bright, welcoming, tasteful living room. Living Waters Church has always been a sught-after wedding venue in Fort Langley. This new look has only served to increase it’s popularity.

Systems: Panelled walls, Caravaggio pendant lights, curtain stage walls, rebuilt stage with reclaimed fir facing, Shaw Haze Tile Carpet throughout room and on stage, white painted brick on front walls and sound booth, front wall painted "Pewter Grey"

Status: Completed October 2013
